#4 Be Young Adult / Student Friendly

The Church of Jesus Christ has to be responsible to all generations. Having a strong children’s church is great. Having an exciting youth ministry is awesome. Engaging young married couples and older “saints” in small group or Wednesday evening Bible study is commendable. But what about the 18 – 29 year olds? Be proactive and begin a ministry that will fill this gap. Appoint someone as the young adult/student liaison. Put their name in the bulletin. Make sure the greeters go out of their way to acknowledge any young adult or student visitor. Create a Sunday School class or small group just for young adults.

“The university is a clear-cut fulcrum with which to move the world. The problem here is for the church to realize that no greater service can it render both itself and the cause of the gospel, with which it is entrusted, than to try and recapture the universities for Christ … More potently than by any other means, change the university and you change the world.”
