#2 Pray in Small Groups

Matthew 18:19-21 “Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about Anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.”
Jesus was not asking us to gather dozens of people together to have an effective prayer meeting. If you desire to create an opportunity where people can come and pray specifically for the school(s) you adopted, just two or three is all that Jesus “requires”. This phase could be great for the people in the church who love to pray. This could be done anywhere; church, homes, nursing homes, senior centers, apartments, outside, inside…anywhere two or three people could meet. So, whether an existing small group takes the ownership for this prayer request or a new small group is formed, we are asking, as a minimum, that they meet once a month. (It would be optimal if they could commit to pray once a week during the semester.)

“The university is a clear-cut fulcrum with which to move the world. The problem here is for the church to realize that no greater service can it render both itself and the cause of the gospel, with which it is entrusted, than to try and recapture the universities for Christ … More potently than by any other means, change the university and you change the world.”
